ActionCOACH Helps Nonprofits Boost Donations
and Build Abundant Communities
LAS VEGAS - When ActionCOACH founder and CEO Brad Sugars offered some for-profit business advice to the nonprofit children’s charity in his native Australia, he never thought that experience would provide the basis for a campaign to provide pro bono coaching to nonprofit leadership…or later for the creation of a 501(c)(3) ActionCOACH Foundation.
The original ‘Coaching for a Cause’ campaign was launched in 2009. Since that time, hundreds of ActionCOACH volunteers have donated over $1 million in coaching services worldwide to help charities and nonprofits increase their impact, sharing Brad Sugar’s award-winning business development and team building systems. As a direct result of coaching, nonprofits have raised well over $5 million since the program launched, including additional funds and donations totaling $3,409,645 the first six months of the program alone.
“For years, we’ve worked with for-profits to leverage performance, productivity and profit,” Sugars said. “Now, we can leverage those same systems and strategies through our network of global coaches to help willing nonprofits on a local level everywhere we operate.”
Coaching for a Cause is a way for the ActionCOACH Business Coaches collective to give back to their communities by providing pro-bono coaching hours to local nonprofit organizations. According to coach and ActionCOACH Foundation Chairman, Doug Winnie, “It is in our corporate DNA to give back and to educate community leaders in order to spread abundance.”
Coaching for a Cause achieves both. By donating time to a nonprofit or charitable organization, our coaches share knowledge and educate the managers of those organizations to help them become better leaders. If service and nonprofit organizations are more successful and therefore able to serve more within the community, it elevates the level of abundance for all. “World Abundance Through Business Re-education is the vision of ActionCOACH, and helping nonprofits help others can only accelerate attainment of this vision,” added Winnie.
Nonprofits and charities from all over the world have benefitted from ‘Coaching for a Cause.’ Here are just a few: Duncanville Outreach and Essilor Vision Foundation in the greater Dallas area; Foundation for Indigenous Education, Leadership Development, and Sustainability (FIELDS) based in Idaho and serving the four corners and Lloydminster, Canada areas; AGL Action Rescue Helicopter in Queensland, Australia; Jericho And Damascus Road Outreach in Staunton, VA; Every Orphan’s Hope helping in Zambia, Africa; Calgary Arts Summer School Association and the Indiana Association for Childcare, Resource and Referral (IACCRR) in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
