Three Lithuanian Schools
Celebrate 45 YESS Business Basics Grads
KAUNAS, LITHUANIA--February 26, 2024--Three Lithuanian high schools--Kauno „Vyturio“ gimnazija, Kauno „Saulės“ gymnasium and LSMU gymnasium (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences)-- came together to celebrate 45 students who completed the nine-week YESS Business Basics course designed by ActionCOACH Foundation. Sandra Paštuolytė, the teacher and facilitator of the program in all three high schools, was instrumental in achieving an overall completion rate five times the national average. Local ActionCOACHes and firm owners, Lina Glemžaitė Griciuvienė, Ermeta Mackevičienė and Mindaugas Juodaitis, initially brought the YESS Business Basics curriculum to Paštuolytė. All attended the ceremony in support of the new grads.
Students learned more about business, including the ActionCOACH business model, during the celebration. Several special awards were presented to students in each school who submitted the best assignments in three categories as follows:
- Kauno „Vyturio“ gimnazija: Kamilė Vonžodaitė (Best Vision Board); Kasparas Vildžiūnas (Best Business Plan for his business, FilmBooks); and Ema Kieliūtė (Best Video Pitch for her business, Tinginiai)
- Kauno „Saulės“ gymnasium: Migle Sirvydyte (Best Vision Board); Gabija Miliunaite and Viktorija Aušiuraitytė (Best Business Plan for their business, RooMates); and Liepa Dambrauskaite and Urte Lembutyte (Best Video Pitches for their business, Lau'Glow).
- LSMU gymnasium: Kristofas Paražinskas (Best Vision Board); Justinas Saudargas (Best Business Plan for his business, Rewebbed); and Tautrimas Markauskas (Best Video Pitch for his business, Backyard Hygiene).
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of Certificates of Completion to all of the graduates, all 15 to 18 years of age, and cake of course.
The schools are looking for financial support locally so they can continue to bring the business mindset and management principles to more students. The cost of the program is $300 per student. Starting in 2024, the school will need to cover $100 of that cost per student, while the Foundation will pick up the balance. YESS Business Basics is a twelve-week, virtual course that serves as an introduction into ActionCOACH Foundation's YESS Young Entrepreneur Smart Start program. It is designed to instill the business principles of ActionCOACH Founder, Brad Sugars, into 12- to 22-year-olds, who receive the education for free. Each student must complete twelve weeks of videos, Action Assignments and weekly exams. In addition, they each submit vision boards, business plans and video business pitches.
YESS Business Basics has enrolled over 1,800 students all over the world since its launch in February of 2021. To date, over 400 students have graduated from the program, fifty percent of these coming from the Baltic States.
