YESS November 2021 Graduating Class Doubles In Size
LAS VEGAS--November 16, 2021--ActionCOACH Foundation is pleased to recognize twenty-one young adults who have successfully completed the twelve-week YESS Business Basics course. The November 2021 International Graduating Class, the second class since the program's introduction in February of this year, is twice the size of the inaugural graduating class recognized in July of this year.
The virtual graduation ceremony took place via Zoom on Tuesday, November 16, at 1:30 pm PST and was attended by twenty students, family members, friends and mentors, as well as staff and coaches from the ActionCOACH family. The ceremony was hosted by board member and YESS Group Recruitment Task Force Chair, Arthur Rosaria, who also presented three special awards to graduating students: Ugne Balsaityte from Lithuania for Best Vision Board; Toluwanimi Ajibola from Nigeria for Best Business Plan; and Zharia Rodney from Jamaica for Best Video Pitch.
Board member Josh Bardsley congratulated the students and welcomed them into the YESS Club, an exclusive online community for graduates of the program. The YESS Club allows the students to continue their entrepreneurial journeys together in a protected community where they can support each other and engage with business leaders like Bardsley.
Brad Sugars, the Founder of both ActionCOACH and the ActionCOACH Foundation, delivered a brief commencement address entitled, 'Making Your Dreams Come True.' According to Sugars, “We want to make entrepreneurs, not employees. When we 'ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in youth worldwide,' we help inspire and educate future leaders who can accelerate the global impact of an ActionCOACH business education."
The highlight of the ceremony, of course, was the recognition of the twenty-one graduates ranging in age from 12 to 22 years and representing nine different countries--Angola, Australia, Curacao, Guyana, Jamaica, Lithuania, Nigeria, Scotland, South Africa and Vietnam. The graduates were students of three different YESS international groups as follows:
June 2021 International Group - presented by group facilitator, Foundation Board Member and Content & Engagement Task Force Chair, Mark McNulty: Tristan Ambross (19) Durban, South Africa; Ugne Balsaityte (18) Lithuania; Ronan Brummer (19) Durban, South Africa; Cody Coetsee (22) Johannesburg, South Africa; Graciana Cumbundo (13) Angola; Ramual Dindyal (14) Guyana; Divyanie Jhaman (12) Guyana; Johnda Smith (16) Guyana; and Grayson Young (20) Durban, South Africa.
August 2021 International Group - presented by group facilitator, ActionCOACH PJ Weiland: Toluwanimi Ajibola (16) Nigeria; Nikhita Harduar (14) Guyana; Duong Hoang Minh (16) Vietnam; Husnaa Jasat (15) and her sister Zahra Jasat (13) Johannesburg, South Africa; Jack Laurie (14) Australia; Omphile Pitse (12) South Africa; Zharia Rodney (20) Jamaica; and Fergus Webb (16) and his sister Morven Webb (14) Scotland.
October 2021 International Group - facilitated by ActionCOACH Keon Smith - presented by board member, Arthur Rosaria, who graduated from the same alma mater as both students: Hinhao Chan (16) Curacao; and Darin Plaate (17) Curacao.
YESS Business Basics is a twelve-week, virtual course that serves as an introduction into ActionCOACH Foundation's YESS Young Entrepreneur Smart Start program, which instills the business principles of ActionCOACH Founder, Brad Sugars, into the 12- to 22-year-olds who receive the education for free. Each student must complete twelve weeks of videos, Action Assignments, postings on the daily discussion boards and weekly exams covering the weekly topics. In addition, they each submitted vision boards, basic business plans and video business pitches for approval. Currently, the program has 412 students enrolled from all over the world. Six hundred students have enrolled in the program since its inception.
