Q: What does the Foundation do?

A: ActionCOACH Foundation provides access to free business training for young adults ages 12-22 and for nonprofit leaders interested in improving their impact on their communities. Our vision is to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in youth and nonprofits, thereby accelerating the momentum toward ActionCOACH's vision of world abundance. Current programs include 'YESS Young Entrepreneur Smart Start' and 'Coaching for a Cause.'

Q: What does ActionCOACH business training include?

A: The training provided through ActionCOACH Foundation is based upon the award-winning business coaching strategies and systems created by Brad Sugars for ActionCOACH. Nonprofit leaders and young entrepreneurs in training will get the benefit of the same for-profit content that businesses invest substantial dollars in. ActionCOACH business coaches throughout the world provide hands-on coaching for the local nonprofits following the same model they use for for-profit businesses with minor modifications to adapt to a for-impact business model. The YESS Young Entrepreneur Smart Start is a self-paced, online course complete with daily questions to ponder, action assignments and discussion topics, as well as weekly exams. In addition, practical assignments designed to help prepare students for their next steps after graduation include a Vision Board, Business Plan and a Video Pitch.

Q: How can I get involved?

A: There are numerous ways for you to help advance the ActionCOACH Foundation vision. You can recruit young people to apply to enroll in the YESS Business Basics course, either by signing up yourself (if you are between the ages of 12 and 22) or by sharing the Application link with your friends and schoolmates and alerting school administrators and educators to the opportunity for their classrooms and schools. If you are a nonprofit, complete the form so we can help match you with an ActionCOACH in your area. If you are an ActionCOACH, volunteer your time with a local nonprofit (we'll help get you started!) or volunteer to help YESS graduates perfect their pitches and their business models. Lastly, as with any undertaking of this magnitude, financial contributions are always helpful. Consider sponsoring a student, a classroom or a school or simply make a one-time or evergreen donation. Whoever you are, there is a role you can play to help employees become entrepreneurs and future job creators.

Q: Are donations to ActionCOACH Foundation tax-deductible?

A: Yes. All donations are 100% tax-deductible within the United States. ActionCOACH Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. If the donations are not considered tax-deductible in your country, you may still be able to claim the contributions as business expenses. Please check with your tax advisor.
